Members of our company as well as Penndel Fire Company and Bensalem Rescue Squad participated in the practical session of Elevator Rescue. This portion was held at Neshaminy High School. Crews reviewed the mechanics and FD operations of the elevators as well as simulations of patient removal.

Josh and Nicole welcomed Lincoln Kontz in to the world on January 22, 2017. Lincoln was quickly transferred to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia with respiratory, cardiac, and renal issues where he remains today in the NICU.

FF Tyler Plunkett completed his practical exercises for the IFSTA Driver/Operator Course that was hosted by the Newtown Fire Association. FF Plunkett had to demonstrate skills that included charging multiple handlines at specified pressures, taking on a water supply and drafting.

We held our annual Fire Prevention Open House in conjunction with the Uptown String Band's block party this year. There was a very large turnout to see the trucks, do some vendor shopping and grab a bite to eat from Jay's Joint, Best Darn Kettlecorn and the Tot Cart.

On this smokin' hot day, Jay's Joint set up shop in our parking lot to serve up some lunch out of the food truck. This was one of Jay's stops along his Champions Fund tour. After each stop, Jay would donate a percentage of the day's earnings to a local cause.
